“A classically trained singer with an earworm for rock music. Hail is based in Southampton, UK and is currently working on her first EP, which will explore a different emotional state in each song. She is inspired by bands of her youth, such as Queens of the StonAge, My Chemical Romance and Radiohead.” The song depicts a girl drowning; she is being dragged under the water by an unknown entity, but she seems to be content by this. The song explores the emotional state of depression from the writer’s personal experience. The song utilises some electronic sounds alongside heavy guitar and base to create a gothic vibe. The voice has been layered with croaks andwhispers, and at times it has been lowered an octave, to create a raspy, demonic effect.
